With several islands of Hawaii from which to choose, many tourists flock to the island of Maui.

The coastline is 120 miles long and there are more than thirty miles of beaches.

Many of Maui’s beaches are easily accessible and come complete with picnic spots, lifeguards and bathroom facilities.

Then there are the many undeveloped spots that are pristine and not well known, perfect for those that are looking for romance.

All of the beaches in Maui are proud to boast crystal blue waters that sparkle in the sunshine. Tropical trade winds keep you cool and the bright blue skies seem to go on forever. Many of the beaches of Maui have white sands but there are also beaches that are unique in that they have either red or black sand.

Famous Around the World

Maui has numerous beaches that are known around the globe for their conditions that are conducive to windsurfing. Other beaches are perfect for snorkelers without much experience, families with children and those that are just happy to comb the beach for shells.

Tourists come from all over the world in order to windsurf, sail and kayak, but you must be careful because currents and offshore winds might be powerful and suddenly change. It is advised that you not stray too far from the shore and when you are involved in water sports you must heed the signs when they are posted.
