Chicago is the third largest city in the U.S. and sits on the shores of the picturesque Lake Michigan with the Chicago River flowing through its center. It has one of the cleanest and most diverse downtown areas in the country, as well as one of the world’s top financial centers.
Visitors have a wide variety of shops, restaurants, and nightclubs to choose from. Here you will find local favorites such as deep dish pizza as well as a multitude of jazz and blues clubs for music lovers.
Sports fans will be delighted to know the city is home to two Major League baseball teams as well as a professional basketball, hockey, and soccer club.
Chicago is home to an excellent public transportation system and features numerous landmarks, historical buildings, theaters, beaches, museums, lagoons, parks, and historical sites to visit. There are plenty of wonderful hotels to choose from that fit every budget when taking a trip to this wonderful city.
It’s easy to see why Chicago is often called the ‘most American of big cities.’
