This salt desert in Iran can be one of the hottest places on the planet as it has reached the remarkable high temperature of 70.7 degrees Celsius back in 2004 and 2005.

3. El Azizia, Libya

The Libyan city of El Azizia reached an incredible high temperature of 57.7 degrees Celsius back in 1922. It is a record high for the city.

4. Oodnadatta, Australia

This town, which is situated in South Australia, has reached a maximum temperature of 50.7 degrees Celsius, which qualifies it for the hottest spot on the continent.

5. Dallol, Ethiopia

Dallol, a town in Ethiopia, is known as the hottest inhabited place on earth by average temperature as it comes in at a very warm 34 degrees Celsius.

6. Tunisia, Africa

Tunisia is home to a section of the Sahara Desert, and even though the nation has four different seasons, the temperature during the summer may reach anywhere from about 32 degrees Celsius to 50 degrees Celsius.

7. Tirat Tavi, Israel
