		<description>Good read, it&#039;s rare that you see a well-compiled list of &#039;alternate&#039; island destinations. (Most go with the mainstream Caribbean spots: Bahamas, Jamaica etc)

I would also add Mustique, Grand Cayman and the Dominican Republic (the non-resort areas) to the list. 

Also, I would prefer having a shortlist of islands to visit, and do them 1 at a time (maybe one a year), versus cruises, to really get a relaxed and more authentic experience of their culture.
