There are many wonderful towns situated on the shores of Lake Huron in Ontario, Canada, with Grand Bend being among the most popular. The small town features an excellent beach for swimming and other water sports and has plenty of other things to keep visitors busy.

The downtown area is filled with boutiques, restaurants, and ice cream parlors along with a mini golf course for the kids. For the grownups, there’s an 18-hole golf course on the edge of town.

Grand Bend is one of the most active spots on the lake during the summer as it has a thriving nightlife with several bars and pubs.

There’s no problem in finding a place to stay as there are various cottages, bed and breakfasts, and motels in the area that fit all price ranges.

For those who’d rather spend their nights outside gazing at the stars, there are some excellent campsites to choose from, with the Pinery Provincial Park being one of the best and most popular.

Grand Bend and the local area is also a cultural delight as it features several art galleries inside the town as well as the Huron Country Playhouse, which is located just on the outskirts.

The town has a population of about 2,000, but it often multiplies by at least 10 times that during the summers and holiday weekends. A visit to the energetic and interesting lakeside town will certainly explain why.
