Cuban cigars are well known to be among the world’s finest because of the rich tobacco used. Cigar lovers from across the globe will head down to the Cuban capital of Havana from Feb. 21st to 25th for the 13thannual Habanos Cuban Cigar Festival.
The event also goes behind the scenes to explore how the country’s tobacco plantations and cigarfactories operate. It also features new cigars as well as workshops and seminars. The brands of Partagás, H. Upmann Habanos, and Montecristo will be featured.
Visitors will also be able to try the new vitolas that are going to be launched later this year by Habanos, S.A. Other events at the Habano Festival include visits to factories, a trade fair, contests, and classes in the famous cigar-rolling technique used by the Habanos Company.
The event kicks off with an exclusive concert by Lating Grammy winner Maestro Leo Brouwer and guests at the Gran Teatro de La Habana. A cocktail party will follow the show. The festival also closes with a bang as there’s a gala dinner held as well as a humidor auction which raises money for the Public Health System in Cuba.
