The annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony will be taking place at Rockefeller Center in New York City on Dec. 1st. The free event will kick off at 7pm and will attract thousands of people who will gather in Manhattan to witness the launch of the holiday season in America’s most famous city.

The spectacular and colorful event is a tradition in New York and you’ll be able to see the huge Christmas tree lit up by over 25,000 bulbs of all different colors. Once the tree is lit up and glittering it’s time to start celebrating and having fun before heading home for the night.

The Rockefeller Center stays alive for several more hours as there’s entertainment galore, usually by some of the world’s most popular acts. For instance, the crowds at past ceremonies have been entertained by the likes of Enrique Iglesias and Britney Spears.
