One of the most mysterious countries on the globe has to be Thailand, and one of the most exciting cities is its capital, Bangkok. There’s always something going on in Bangkok as the streets are filled with residents and visitors alike as they navigate the marketplaces that seem to appear on every sidewalk. This makes Bangkok a shopper’s haven as you can buy just about anything imaginable from the colorful shopping stalls.
The city maintains its history and charm and at the same time it has adopted a new-age feel to some areas. You can travel the ancient streets by the famous tuk tuk motorcycle taxis or take the world-class skytrain to visit its many historical attractions such as the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha).
The Chao Phraya River flows through the heart of Bangkok and you can cruise from site to site on water taxis and ferries while taking in the wonderful scenery.
The Khaosan Road is one of the busiest and most popular streets in the capital as it houses numerous shops, restaurants, hotels, cafes, bars, nightclubs, travel agents, and food stalls.
Thai food is famous throughout the world and you will definitely be able to find excellent restaurants to suit all types of budgets.
Bangkok is an excellent place to visit if you want to soak in the culture of ancient Asia and its proud people.
