One of the largest agricultural get-togethers in Ireland is the Limerick Show, and you’re right, it takes place in the town of Limerick. This year’s event will be taking place at the racecourse on August 21st to August 22nd 2010 and will feature a slew of activities and attractions for visitors.

The annual Limerick Show will offer Pony and Horse Jumping and showing Dog Competitions, Cattle Showing, Horticulture, Cooking Competitions, and several types of Trade Show And Craft Exhibitions.

One of the most popular events of the show is the horse and calf championships in which awards are handed out to the best animals in a variety of different categories.

However, you don’t have to be an agriculturist to enjoy the festival as it offers much more than agricultural events only.

The event also features a variety of live Music, Jugglers And Jesters, and Go-Karting to keep the thousands of visitors busy and entertained throughout the weekend. You won’t go hungry either as the festival features food stands and drinks.

The Limerick show has something for people of all ages and it’s an ideal place for families to spend some quality time together and learn about the country lifestyle.
