Cape Town, South Africa has long been one of the world’s most popular destinations and it’ll attract more visitors than usual for the yearly Cape Town Festival, which runs from March 18th to the 21st.

The popular festival features some of the best international and local acts. These include performances in spoken word, visual arts, and performing arts. The event attracts thousands of visitors each year and many of the events are free.

The event offers an eclectic mix of culture and arts and includes just about everything from modern to classic performances by some of the best artists in the world. Local theaters host a wide selection of shows while the city’s museums supply literary events and visual arts experiences. Many of these are held in universities, libraries and educational institutions.

This will be the 12th edition of the Cape Town Festival and it will climax with celebrations for Human Rights Day. Some popular artists featured at this year’s event include Jesse Clegg, Vicky Sampson, The Rockets, The Dirty Skirts, Emo Adams, Chad Saaiman, Nomfusi, James Bhemjee, Virtual Jazz Reality, The Lucky Charms, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Tucan Tucan, the Cape Town Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, and the Glen Robertson Jazz Band. This year’s headline act will be Judith Sephuma, who is well known for her afro-pop and jazz sounds.

The festival offers a yearly platform for aspirant and established artists to show off their interesting and unique talents in front of a very diverse audience. It’s a real people’s festival as it reflects the vibrant, cosmopolitan, and colorful culture that Cape Town is famous for. There will also be buskers and plenty of food and drinks.

Local performers will start each day’s events with displays of traditional African dance, vocal, and instrumental performances.
