Wonderland is just a few miles north of the city and it’s the biggest amusement park in the country as well as one of the most popular. It has over 200 attractions in total with one of them being the new Leviathan roller coaster. The Leviathan is known as the fastest and tallest roller coaster in the nation. You’ll find all other sorts of family games, rides, and activities here too.

2. La Ronde – Montreal, Quebec

This is the second-biggest of Canada’s amusement parks. It opened its doors back in 1967 as a part of Expo 67and has been one of the province of Quebec’s most popular family destinations ever since. There are 40 different rides here including the highest double track roller coaster in the world, called Le Monstre. There’s also a popular area with Nintendo video games.

3. Calypso Water park – Limoges, Ontario

This themed water park sits close to Canada’s capital city of Ottawa, Ontario and it’s quite popular with those who want to cool down during the hot and humid summer months. It’s the biggest water park in the country and has lots of family attractions. There’s a jungle river ride, water slides, and a humungous wave pool.

4. Galaxyland – Edmonton, Alberta

This amusement park is located in the famous West Edmonton Mall. It’s the second-biggest indoor amusement park on the globe and it used to be named Fantasyland. Galaxyland features the tallest and longest indoor roller coaster in the world as well as the highest indoor tower ride. It’s open all year long and is an ideal place for the youngster to play if their parents have some serious shopping to do.

5. The Crystal Palace Amusement Park – Dieppe, New Brunswick

This park has a lot to offer families who are looking for fun. It’s an indoor amusement center which sits next to the town’s Champlain Place shopping mall. It opened its doors in 1990 and isn’t too far away from the popular city of Moncton.

6. Centreville Amusement Park – Toronto, Ontario

This amusement park sits on Toronto Island and can be reached via a quick ferry ride from the city’s downtown area. It’s been entertaining families for many years now and it comes with a miniature railway, swan boats, a vintage carousal, and several types of kiddies’ rides.

7. Playland – Vancouver, British Columbia

Playland is the oldest of Canada’s many amusement parks and is located at the Pacific National Exhibition in the west coast city of Vancouver. It’s featured in the annual fair near the end of August each and every year. It’s very popular with tourists as it’s home to several food booths, rides, and monster truck exhibitions. The park also opens up in October for its traditional Halloween nights which feature numerous haunted attractions.

8. Calaway Park – Calgary, Alberta

This is western Canada’s biggest amusement park and is another favorite family destination. It is home to a corkscrew rollercoaster, log flume, gigantic swing, and lots of midway games and food stalls. There are plenty of thrilling rides for the daredevils in your family. You’ll also find a children’s tugboat playground area as well as a ball pit.
