The U.S. Virgin Islands are a popular tropical destination for many vacationers.

The weather, the food, the pristine beaches and the friendly people draw people from around the world when it is time to take a relaxing holiday.

St. Croix

There are plenty of activities for those who like to stay active on their vacation. You can go fishing, take a day charter, take an eco tour and even kayak in the place where in 1493 Christopher Columbus paid a visit.

If undersea pursuits are more your thing you can snorkel or go to the famous Wall and scuba dive. For sun worshippers there are gorgeous beaches where you can swim and work on your tan.

If shopping is your passion there are numerous shops where bargain hunters will find a wealth of treasures. Don’t leave the island without exploring some of the National Parks. Gamblers should take note that St. Croix is the only one of the U.S. Virgin islands that has a casino.

St. Thomas

More activities await you on the island of St. Thomas. Pamper yourself at a spa or take a hike at the Virgin Islands National Park. Rent a boat and tour the area at your leisure or rent a bicycle to see the island up close and personal.

Scuba diving and snorkeling of course are offered and there are always the beaches where you can play in the sand and surf. Soar through the skies on an aerial tour and see the U.S. Virgin Islands from a unique perspective. Grab your tennis racket or golf clubs and get competitive or hop on the back of a horse and take a ride along the beach.

Water Island

Those seeking peace and tranquility will find that Water Island is the ideal destination. Take a guided tour by bicycle where you can see the island from the fort all the way to Honeymoon Beach.

Fishermen will enjoy line fishing in Flamingo Bay off the deep water dock and those that enjoy history will love exploring the ruins of Carolina Point Plantation and Fort Segarra.

St. John Island

Nature lovers will swear they have found paradise when they arrive at St. John Island. The National Park Service protects the sandy shorelines of the island and long, lazy days at the beach are one of the most popular activities. St. John Island offers many of the same amenities as the other islands such as bike and boat rentals as well as day charters where you can do some island hopping.
