Liechtenstein is the sixth smallest country of the world. In case you would like to visit the country, you should know that its size has both advantages and disadvantages. The advantage is that you can be sure that you will see everything there is to see. The downside is that you might spend more time traveling there than touring.
Get it Started
Most probably you will arrive to Vaduz. Once you arrive, you should take the tour of the city which takes about an hour. This way you will see the old town area and the vineyards just outside the city. The bus makes a stop for tourists to see the panoramic sight of the Liechtenstein Castle. Then it heads it to the Rhine Park Stadium. In the end it returns to the city center.
Prince of Liechtenstein Winery
One of the main points of interests of the tour is the Prince of Liechtenstein Winery. Here you can do some wine tasting. The best thing about this stop might be that the tourists can actually take their glasses decorated with the coat of armors as a special souvenir.
Take Matters into Your Own Hands
Once the tour is over, you are free to explore Vaduz the way you want to. You can go shopping or you can have lunch at one of the many renowned restaurants. You could also have some coffee at one of the cafes of the old town and just watch people who pass by.
Postage Stamp Museum
If you have some time in the afternoon you might want to take a trip to the Postage Stamp Museum. This museum owns a collection of rare stamps and other historic documents and machines. These are all meant to tell the story of the postal service of the country. If you are lucky, you will also be able to see a special exhibition.
Liechtenstein Center
Although the end of the day may already be close, most probably you still have some time to go to Liechtenstein Center. Here you can find souvenirs, such as the famous souvenir stamp that you could add to your passport.
If you come to think of it, it is quite amazing that you can see an entire city in only one day and if you get to know Vaduz, you will pretty much know everything about the country as well. This might be the main advantage of small countries.
