Pictures of Bora Bora showing awesome scenery of resorts and beaches of the world! Bora – Unquestionably the most mythical of the Pacific islands remains the island of all dreams.
The legends, mysteries, and romance associated with the words “Bora Bora” bring an almost mystical presence to the island. The island, located about 230 kilometres northwest of Papeete, is surrounded by a lagoon and a barrier reef.
Bora Bora is predestined for snorkeling and scuba diving in and around its lagoon.
Made famous by books, movies, and its stunning beauty, the island is now besieged by tourism and overcrowding. Regardless, if you must visit a South Pacific island (and you should), Bora Bora would be an excellent choice.

Bora Bora is too like made like tourist destination. Moorea is way cooler then Bora Bora.

Sean: Don’t take it bad, but you got porked on the travel prices to Papeete. 12 days, airfare and shuttle to Moorea was about 8k. Air France both ways from Los Angeles. East coast does’t add 2k does it?
Just for the record. It is expensive there. And the French people treat the native Polynesians like crap. It is probably one of the most beautiful places to visit. The salt content of the water there is such that you can put your hands behind your head and float in the water – I took a nap floating around the lagoon. Bring your own mosquito repellent, they cork you on a small can of Off. And they’re especially vicious at night. Local food is awesome.

Tahiti has always been my dream vacation. I have been to China, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Macau, Carribean, Ecuador, Germany, Ireland, Mexico, almost all of USA…and now that I am retired…Tahiti and a visit to Bora Bora is within my reach and I will go.
I love the pictures my name is bora hopefully one day I will visit this beautiful place!

This has been my dream destination since i saw it on the back of a magazine in the waiting room of a dentist one day and the add was for Alpine Cigarettes ha ha…i have since found out that there is a resort there…with my actual name on it… La Moana Resort which i think is a part of the Sheridan chain!! Now….if only i can find the guy to whisk me away there ha ha!

Make sure you go to the Bora Bora Yacht Club. Great spot to moor out while having meals and libations. Should be newly reopened after a complete workover. Also a good spot to moor while your charter company comes in to replace sails. The wind getting there ripped our old sail to shreds. And the owners are swell people!!
Bora Bora is my very favorite travel destination. Cruised in last year. Sailed in during 1999. Mainsail had shredded in the wind as we sailed northward to Bora Bora. Moored offshore @ Bora Bora Yacht Club overnight while sail was being replaced. The Yacht Club was being completely remodled last year but the owners [picture attached] gave me the full tour. The island is blessed with everything including very nice people!

Bora Bora is indeed the most romantic island. It’s beautiful and serene environment really sparked the chemistry between my husband and I when we recently went there for our honeymoon!
I love Bora Bora…I travel there at least once a month..a real experience and I am leaving for Moorea tonight as I am proposing to my girl friend Sue x
