The good weather and good times are still going on in Australia and if you want to enjoy both of them at once you’ll be able to do so between Feb. 26th and Mar 9th. This is when the land down under will be holding the year’s first ASP surfing event of the men’s World Championship Tour.

The exciting action will be taking place at Snapper Rocks Beach on the famous Gold Coast up in Queensland. The beach will be filled with some of the world’s best pro surfers as they compete for theprize money. This event will see a total of U.S. $425,000 up for grabs.

The prize money is expected to attract surfers from all over as they attempt to outduel each other for the grand prize as well as bragging rights. Australia’s Gold Coast is the ideal place to hold the event as there is about 35 miles of golden coastline that’s covered in beautiful sandy beaches.

Of course the wonderful tropical weather is an added bonus and the area lures thousands of visitors each year. When the surfing’s finished for the day there will be plenty of opportunity to unwind and enjoy yourself at the wide variety of restaurants, pubs, nightclubs, and cabaret shows at Gold Coast.
